Ladakh is a place I have always wanted to explore, and blazing a trail whenever possible, and that’s exactly what I keep doing – again and again. So, even after two previous trips to this fascinating destination (one of which was an adventurous Bike Trip on a scarlet Machiasmo), here I was again in Ladakh – this time with my wife, and this time in a different ‘Sawaari’ – the Mighty Scorpio. One may think and believe that they have “Been there, Done that” in Ladakh, but every trip to Ladakh offers much more. This time I wanted to stretch the limits of exploring this mesmerizing jewel of Indian tourism, this time I wanted to touch those locales that have not been imagined by anybody else and those areas which do not figure in any kind of tour operator’s itinerary or in any travel magazine. That was exactly what we did during this trip, exploring some of the unseen territory and few non-reachable locales. However, the laws of nature apply here like no other place and so, in order to ‘not be a gamma in the land of lama’, its best to acclimatise well before hitting the road in this region.
